Reawakening the Florence Broadhurst Archives

My Paloma has been granted exclusive access to the print archives of legendary Australian artist and designer Florence Broadhurst. Known for her fearless pattern work and cross-cultural imagination, Broadhurst’s designs offer a rare narrative depth to print.

This collection features original Florence Broadhurst design prints, reinterpreted through wearable silhouettes and conscious materials using a colour palette that celebrates the vibrancy of the Australian lifestyle and Peruvian heritage. Each coat is designed in homage not just to pattern, but to the power of permanence.

Florence Broadhurst’s work defied convention: bold, tactile, layered in Eastern and European influences. Her archives, preserved in Sydney, hold more than 500 hand-illustrated textiles. For the first time in decades, these patterns have been reimagined and reinterpreted through My Paloma’s sculptural outerwear and hand-finished accessories.  Each piece is printed on natural fibres using non-toxic inks, produced in Peru in limited, collectible volumes. These are not seasonal statements — 
 they are future heirlooms.
